Hi, due to start on this at 200mg on Friday. Had eyes checked yesterday and all is ok, so no problems with that. Have to get bloods done on Friday, then hopefully can get started.
While I was in opticians room, a strange thing occured!!! no, not supernaturally strange, just me strange!!! my hands went very red on palms and backs, and began to swell up so much that my rings hurt my fingers, also looked like a red and purple rash. As I stood up after the test there was a mirror, and my face and neck were also red and had a large rash on too. There was strip lighting and the room was warm. The optician asked if I was ok, and I felt alright, just looked odd! I am just wondedring if its anything to do with the overlap that is being looked into. My hands do swell at times, but its never been like this, and it wasnt painful, just felt tight and uncomfortable. Any ideas? Sorry if this is in the wrong place, wasnt sure where to put it.

raymaunds and also lupus coem to mind.
for me hands swell go red rash hives like when udner strip lighting or in room thats far to hot,ive eben told to tell rheumy as definite lupus reaction to heat.

classic for lupus.but could be number of things best get seen for medical input best go gp asap get self checked over.rheumy told me this is type of thing he wants to see as soon as possible as a clear pattern for diagnsois let know how u get on.
rheumy advice to em was to take a photo for when getit to se him as often it dies down before seen.
could also be infection ro reaction to a new drug.
